NORTHLAKE MASTER PLAN
Mandeville, Louisiana
Northlake Behavioral Health Systems is a hospital campus located in Mandeville, Louisiana on a thirty-five-acre plot of land. After an attempt by the state government to shut the hospital down in 2013, St. Tammany Parish assumed ownership of the property. The locals were thankful to see the hospital saved in the parish with the highest suicide rate in Louisiana.

Northlake is operating today, treating acute care patients as well as those that are judicially committed starting at the age of 12. The front end of the property holds a few group homes that function as a step-down program as well as filter in patients for the Intensive Outpatient program that the hospital provides. To expand on the hospital, the parish has proposed plans for developing the surrounding land with similar programming to create a behavioral health hub for the city of Mandeville.
